The Scottish School of Forestry
The largest organisation in Balloch, and a very good friend of the village is the Scottish School of Forestry, sited in an appropriate forest setting at Viewhill
The Scottish School of Forestry is a self contained site 6 miles from the centre of Inverness (in Balloch) with classrooms, workshops, library and computer suite, refectory and students common room. Practical activities take place on its 10 hectare site or in nearby forests. There are 10 staff, with a wide range of skills and experience.
Courses
The range of courses available at the Scottish School of Forestry covers the continuum from the very practical to degree level.
Some of these courses are available through a variety of attendance modes including full-time, part-time, as a short course or through workplace based study.
