Happy New Year to all friends and supporters of the Choir!

The choir is now back in session, and looking forward to another busy year in 2010.

We enjoyed a varied programme of carol concerts over the holidays,
and were featured along with James Graham, Kathleen MacInnes and our own Maggie MacDonald
on a BBC Alba special on Christmas Eve:

CGI Grand Ceilidh Dance 27/09/2008 to raise funds for the choir visit to Canada

A great night at Strathpeffer Pavilion with terrific music from Meantime, and the Cnoc Ciuil Ceilidh Band, thanks to them for donating their services and to the Pavilion for donating the venue

There were also impromptu songs from the choir and from choir members, all in all a memorable night for the many visitors, see the pictures in the gallery.

The Inverness Gaelic Choir are due to fly to Cape Breton in October to take part in the Celtic Colours Festival. After two years of fundraising and planning we have now become victims of the collapse of Zoom Airlines.

We are trying to raise around £20,000 for the necessary replacement (and more expensive) tickets.
