Our Nursery Aims
At Tiny Tots we work in partnership with parents and the community to develop a programme for children’s learning that provides, equally for all children, an opportunity to freely express their ideas and enjoy themselves through play.
To achieve this principle we:
- Provide for children with the help of SSSC registered, qualified and caring staff, a safe, enjoyable and stimulating environment
- Provide activities which enable each child to develop their full potential in the four main capacities.
- A successful learner
- A confident individual
- A responsible citizen
- An effective contributor
- Have a policy and well defined procedures on child protection and you can be confident that staff have a clear understanding of their roles and responsibilities in protecting children and young people from harm, abuse, bullying and neglect.
- Provide for children opportunities through play that will encourage positive attitudes to themselves and others while developing their own self esteem and confidence
- Provide for children a variety of resources and equipment which will build a foundation for future learning
- Provide an environment which allows children to develop at their own rate and allows for individual differences
- Provide for children with special needs equal access to all facilities available to other children in the group
- Are committed to following the guidance contained with in the ‘Child at the Centre’, National Care Standards’ (Early Education & Child Care up to the age of 16) and The Curriculum for Excellence.
